This piece was created for a monthly challenge for the Polymer Clay Smooshers Guild. The theme was 'Space' and this piece pays homage to the world of Star Trek. Yes, Im a trekkie.

I created the cabochons with mottled dark blue clay, with Jones Tones Silver Foil and then after curing coated them with thin coats of Kato Liquid Medium, which were cure to a high shine.

I then encased each one in a bevel setting using seed beads, before joining them all together.
