These patterns have a raised finger print. 2010
The clay above has an actual finger print, the viens of the pattern are raised. This is a direct result of Mica manipulation. the clays used are glitter gold, copper metallic and gold metallic. I prepared the clay, into a loaf and sliced it, then instead of rolling it to enlarge it I instead started to stretch it by hand. I then began to notice these lines were actually raised, the more I stretched them the more I saw. I belive this is a result of the mica particles being so tightly packed... but am not sure. I have baked a cabochon to see if it remains raised and it did! Really Cool!

Slab Earrings, Jade Fabrication, PHAT, Patterning!
These earrings have a little granular detail and a lot of pattern. This is what Picasso Hidden Art Technique, looks like when it is not mirror imaged. This loaf was created with a jade fabrication and some metallic gold and a bit of glitter gold scraps. Notice the many layers and the intircate detail in them. When holding them, they are super reflective and the glitter is a great touch! I have since become almost obsessed with this technique, as the possibilities seem to be endless. These earrings are the very first finished pieces that feature the PHAT (acronym for picasso hidden art technique) patterning.

Mica Particle Manipulation, two loafs the patterns seen are creted with mica particles only!
I am excited and very eager to share with you all my new find. Happy to say that I have been able to create these amazing patterns simply by mainpulating the particles, no colors or skinner blending has been done. These elaborate patterns have amazing reflection qualities as the particles are packed so tightly. Have you seeen mica paritcle manipulation like this before?, I have been looking and nothing even close to this type of mica manipulation. I applied my Picasso Hidden Art Technique to mica particles and it works just as well as with colored clay. They kind of look like x-rays.
