The TECHNIQUE is the reason I chose this piece as my baseline image. The gracefulness of the swirl, and the interest added by the crackled black paint. I made the beads in this necklace from scraps left over from a project by Elise Winters in a very old issue of Bead & Button Magazine. I became addicted to making swirl beads, and loved the way the black acrylic paint on the raw clay spread out and added so much to the pattern of the swirls. I also discovered that I love the combination of blue and yellow.
