Description: The archetype for this colorful polymer clay necklace are the wonderful "African Mali Wedding Beads". These glass beads are presented to the bride on her wedding day, mostly they were made in Czechoslovakia. Multicolored and variegated the majority of the beads have been fashioned into a bulbous shape, but there are also triangular shapes. They are worn by the "Fulani Women". I tried to translate the spirit of the original beads onto polymer clay.
