Description:
A piece from my Galaxy Collection. I made several necklaces in different color combos for this collection, and I found it hard to part with them. My favorite one was made up of rich orange tones...I miss it. This one is my second favorite, I think. I love purple and blue, so I appreciate the combos of the colors in this piece. Each bead took SO LONG to make. The shaping, the, sanding, the buffing....I really want to do detailed work, yet this is what I seem to end up producing - detailed canes that end up scrapped and reused in beads like this.
WEEK 2 ASSIGNMENT-
Dominant Voice: Fit for purpose
WEEK 3 ASSIGNMENT-
Hitting the Sweet Spot...yes, I know exactly what this means. It is when a piece feels complete. This baseline piece is one of thee pieces for me, yet this pic does not covey the color detail of each bead, the smoothness of each bead, the 3 cdifferent colors of beading wire I used to make the beads into a necklace...all these things make it hit the sweet spot. the beads alone we'd not enough, for example. Together, with the wire, the make a complete piece.
WEEK 4 ASSIGNMENT:
Changes...I would add a bit more interest to the beads, perhaps some translucents, ans some silver foil for sparkle and interest. And, I'd make smaller beads for matching earrings.
